1. Can You Park Your Motorcycle in Your Car Park Lot?
- Technically No, if the Management Corporation (MC) or Joint Management Body (JMB) has a house rule or by-law that prohibits motorcycle parking in car lots, you are required to comply.
- They can restrict the type of vehicle allowed in each designated lot for safety, order, and aesthetics—but only if such rules have been properly passed and registered.
2. Can the Management Charge for Motorcycle Parking Separately?
-
Yes, but with conditions:
- Any usage of common property (e.g., turning common area into bike parking) must be decided by the MC or JMB in a general meeting with proper resolution and owner consent (usually simple or special resolution depending on context).
- If fees are imposed, they must be justified, transparent, and reflected in the house rules or budget approved by the owners.
3. You, as an Owner, Have Rights:
- You have a right to fair access to facilities—if motorcycles are banned from car parks, but not given an alternative unless you pay extra, you may argue this is discriminatory or unfair, especially if no free options are provided.

You can write to the JMB/MC to request:
- Justification for not allowing motorcycles in your own bay;
- Confirmation that the motorcycle parking scheme and fee were passed in an AGM/EGM;
- Consideration for owners like you who do not own a car.
